a neurodiversity-affirming, gender-inclusive, and trauma-informed space ✽
At Flourish Within Psychology, we offer therapy and assessments for children, teens, young adults, and parents who want support that feels calm, empowering, and genuinely affirming.
Whether you’re here to understand your child better, navigate anxiety or burnout, explore identity, or reconnect with your sense of self, you’re in the right place.
We support people across all neurotypes and identities, creating space for growth that’s grounded in safety, curiosity, and care. Our approach is always trauma-informed, gender-inclusive, and deeply respectful of your lived experience. This is a space where you don’t need to mask, explain yourself, or “perform” to be heard.
You Don’t have to Hold it all Together Here
Maybe your child is overwhelmed, anxious, or shutting down, and you’re not sure how to help in a way that really supports them.
Maybe you’re a teen or young adult trying to make sense of who you are, masking constantly, and feeling like you’re both too much and not enough at the same time.
Maybe you’ve spent years trying to hold it all together, but inside, you feel exhausted, misunderstood, or like something’s missing.
Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to figure it out alone. We’re here to help you and your family move from surviving to flourishing in a way that feels real, gentle, and sustainable.
Because You Deserve to Flourish.
-
We offer warm, flexible therapy explicitly designed for children, teens, and young adults. Whether it’s anxiety, identity, burnout, or emotional regulation, our sessions adapt to your unique needs and pace, helping you build resilience and self-understanding in a safe, affirming space.
-
Our autism and ADHD assessments are thorough, respectful, and mindful of masking and internalised experiences. We work collaboratively with you, providing clarity without pressure, so you can better understand yourself and access the right supports (please note this service is currently only for people 17+).
-
We work closely with parents and caregivers to help you navigate challenges, understand your child’s strengths and needs, and build strategies that empower your whole family. We know when parents and caregivers feel supported and regulated, children are better able to feel safe, connected, and calm. You’re not alone; we provide guidance with kindness and practical tools to help everyone thrive.
Neurodiversity Affirming Autism Assessments
We provide autism assessments grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming approach, with a focus on understanding internalised and high-masking presentations. This process offers a supportive, compassionate space to explore your unique social and sensory experiences, helping you gain clarity, insight, and validation.
Investment:
Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessment & Report | $2000
Includes a detailed diagnostic report and a 50-minute feedback session.
Assessment & Results Letter | $1250
Provides a summary letter of your assessment results plus a feedback session.
Not sure which option is right for you? See our FAQ for a clear explanation of the difference.
Payment: Full payment is due before the initial assessment session. A two-part payment option is also available: half before the initial session, and half after the assessment is complete, before the report or feedback session.
What’s Included:
-
You’ll complete intake forms and questionnaires before our first session to gather important background information.
-
A 2-hour initial session using the MIGDAS-2 interview, exploring social and sensory experiences. If we feel more time is needed to explore traits in greater depth, an optional 1-hour follow-up session may be scheduled as part of the assessment process.
-
If you’ve opted for a comprehensive diagnostic report, you can expect to receive it within 4 weeks of the final session. For a brief summary letter of results, the turnaround time is typically within 2 weeks.
-
A 50-minute session where we review your assessment findings together. You’ll receive personalised recommendations, psychoeducation, and practical resources to support your next steps. This session is designed to help you better understand your unique profile with clarity and confidence.
Please note that while an Autism Assessment can provide valuable insight and clarity, it does not automatically guarantee eligibility for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). NDIS access is based on a range of factors, not diagnosis alone.
Our assessments focus on building a thorough understanding of each person’s strengths, challenges, and support needs. This information can help guide appropriate supports, interventions, and educational adjustments.
For NDIS access, you may need additional documentation such as functional assessments that outline daily living impacts. If you’re considering applying, we recommend speaking with an NDIS representative or a disability support provider for specific guidance on eligibility criteria and application processes.
Neurodiversity Affirming ADHD Assessments
We offer neurodiversity-affirming ADHD assessments that go beyond diagnosis; focusing on understanding how your brain works, recognising your strengths, and identifying practical supports that can make a real difference. Our assessments combine clinical interviews, standardised questionnaires, and behavioural observations to build a well-rounded picture of your experiences and provide evidence-based recommendations for daily life, study, or work. We take a warm and compassionate approach, making sure you feel seen, heard, and respected throughout the process. Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences without judgment.
Please note that psychologists cannot prescribe medication or conduct medical assessments. If you are seeking medication, we recommend consulting a psychiatrist or paediatrician and confirming whether they can use our report as part of their process.

ADHD assessment with brief results letter | $800

Once you book your assessment, you’ll receive initial forms and standardised questionnaires to complete before your appointment. These help your psychologist get to know you and gather background information to prepare for your session.
-
Your assessment can be completed either via Telehealth or in person, whichever feels most comfortable and convenient for you. During the session, we use the DIVA-5 structured interview, which explores ADHD traits across both childhood and adulthood. This session usually lasts around two hours, and you’re welcome to have a support person join you if you’d like.
-
Depending on your chosen option, you’ll receive either: A comprehensive report outlining assessment findings, diagnostic impressions, and tailored recommendations, or a brief results letter summarising whether your presentation meets diagnostic criteria for ADHD.
-
After your report or letter is finalised, you’ll have a 50-minute feedback session with your psychologist, either online or in person. This is a chance to go through your results together, ask questions, and talk about individualised recommendations and next steps for ongoing support.
Combined ADHD and Autism Assessment (Ages 17 Years – Adulthood)
Our Combined ADHD and Autism Assessment offers a warm, neurodiversity-affirming space to explore your unique experiences, strengths, and challenges. This assessment is designed for individuals who identify with traits of both ADHD and Autism and would like to gain a clear understanding of how these may interact and impact daily life.
Our psychologists take a compassionate, holistic approach, focusing on understanding rather than “labelling.” You’ll be supported to explore your social, sensory, and attentional experiences in a way that feels validating and empowering.
Assessments can be completed via Telehealth or in person, so you can choose the option that feels most comfortable and accessible for you.
If you are seeking medication or a medical evaluation, please note that psychologists cannot prescribe medication. For these needs, we recommend consulting a psychiatrist or paediatrician and checking whether they can use our report as part of their process.

Therapy for Children, Teens & Young Adults
I provide warm, neurodiversity-affirming therapy tailored to children, teens, and young adults. Together, we work through anxiety, identity, burnout, emotional regulation, and more, all at your pace in a safe, collaborative space designed to nurture your authentic self.
Initial intake and goal-setting session:
This first session is all about getting to know you, understanding your needs, and seeing if we’re the right fit to work together. If we both feel it’s a good match, we’ll plan future sessions based on your goals.
New Clients:
Regular Therapy Sessions:
During regular 50-minute therapy sessions, we work together toward goals that we set collaboratively based on what matters most to you. Therapy is a two-way process; you’ll be actively involved, and I’ll draw upon evidence-based approaches like Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, adapting them creatively to fit your unique needs.
For children:
Sessions often include a mix of child-only time and joint parent-child time, as involving both can be crucial for progress. We also offer parent-only sessions to help you understand your child better and develop strategies to support them at home and beyond.
For teens:
Therapy is usually primarily with the teen, respecting their autonomy and confidentiality. Parental involvement happens with the teen’s consent and is focused on supporting their progress while honouring their privacy. The only exception is if confidentiality principles need to be breached for safety reasons; in such cases, I’ll explain the process clearly. You can find more information about confidentiality and its limits in the FAQ section.
Throughout, collaboration is key I’ll support you in building practical tools and insights to help you and your family thrive.
Investment:
Standard 50 minute sessions are charged at $240.
For NDIS-funded sessions, fees are charged in accordance with the NDIS Price Guide for South Australia.
You may be eligible to use private health insurance, NDIS funding or medicare rebates to help cover the cost. Please see our FAQ for more information on funding options and how these work.
While Flourish Within Psychology is not NDIS-registered, we can provide services to both plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants.

Why Choose Flourish Within?
I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, seen, and supported without judgment or pressure. My approach is grounded in authenticity, creativity, and deep respect for your individuality. Here’s what sets me apart:
-
Our space has been thoughtfully designed to help you feel calm and comfortable from the moment you arrive. Soft, natural lighting, dimmable lights, and carefully chosen furnishings create a warm, less clinical environment. Small touches like tea on arrival and cozy seating aimed to support regulation and relaxation, helping you feel grounded before, during, and after sessions
-
Radical genuineness is at the heart of how I work. I show up as a real person, honest, warm, and fully present. I connect with you as a person, beyond just the clinical role. I believe therapy works best when it's grounded in mutual trust, safety, and human connection.
-
No two people are the same, and neither is your therapy.
You won’t find cookie-cutter approaches here. I tailor each session to you, whether that means respecting your neurodivergent needs, building therapy around your child's interests, or shifting pace to match your comfort. Sessions are flexible, interest-based, and adaptive to your needs, not a rigid set of worksheets.

General FAQ’s
-
Sometimes life can feel a little heavier than usual. You or your child might be feeling overwhelmed by daily demands, adjusting to a big change, or finding it hard to manage emotions or relationships. Other times, there may just be a sense that something isn’t quite right even if it’s hard to explain why.
Whatever has brought you here is completely valid. There’s no “wrong” reason to seek support.
Therapy offers a space that’s just for you; calm, safe, and without judgement. While friends and family can be wonderful sources of care, psychologists bring professional insight to help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and gently explore new ways of coping, healing, and growing.
And you don’t need a diagnosis to reach out. Sometimes, having someone who truly listens and helps you make sense of things can be the most meaningful step forward.
-
Your first session is a gentle starting point, a chance to meet your psychologist, share what’s been happening, and discuss what support would be most helpful. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out.
For adults and teens, the session usually involves talking directly with the person attending, with parents involved only when helpful. For children under 12, it can sometimes be helpful for parents or caregivers to meet with the psychologist first. This allows us to gather background, understand concerns, and plan therapy in a way that feels safe and supportive for the child.
Every session is tailored to the individual. Our goal is to create a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where everyone feels heard, understood, and supported from the very beginning.
-
We offer a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Rather than sticking strictly to one approach, we adapt these therapies in a neuroaffirming, trauma-informed way to suit each person’s unique needs. Every session is individualised, and we often blend techniques from different modalities depending on what you or your child is working towards.
-
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule a session. We ask for more than 48 hours’ notice to cancel without charge. If a session is cancelled or rescheduled between 24–48 hours, a 50% fee applies, and cancellations within 24 hours incur the full session fee.
These policies help us maintain a sustainable practice so we can continue providing high-quality, individualized care to all our clients.
-
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, the length of therapy depends on your goals, needs, and circumstances. Some people find a few sessions helpful, while others benefit from ongoing support over several months.
For children and teens, the number of sessions can vary depending on age, presenting challenges, and how they respond to therapy. Sometimes shorter, more frequent sessions work best; other times, longer sessions are appropriate.
Therapy is always tailored to you or your child. Our focus is on making meaningful progress at a pace that feels safe, manageable, and supportive, rather than following a set timeline.
-
Yes, we offer online/telehealth sessions for clients who prefer or need remote support. This can be a convenient option for adults and older children or teens.
For younger children, telehealth may not always be suitable, as it can be harder to engage effectively through a screen. We’ll always discuss what’s most appropriate for your child to ensure therapy is safe, supportive, and effective.
-
Existing clients can book sessions directly through our online booking portal.
New clients are welcome to send through an enquiry first. This helps us ensure the service is suitable and allows time to complete any necessary forms before using the booking system.
We’ll always respond promptly and guide you through the next steps, so getting started is as simple and smooth as possible.
-
Yes, we can provide reports or letters as needed. These are charged based on the time taken to complete them, in line with the relevant hourly rate (NDIS or private).
We’ll always discuss the purpose of the report, what information will be included, and the estimated time and cost before starting, so there are no surprises. Our goal is to make the process clear, supportive, and as straightforward as possible.

Medicare Rebates:
You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate when referred by your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). For sessions with a Registered Psychologist, the current rebate is $98.95 per 50-minute session.
With a standard session fee of $240, this rebate reduces your out-of-pocket cost to approximately $141 per session.
To obtain a Mental Health Care Plan, schedule an appointment with your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician and request a referral for psychological treatment. They will assess your needs and can create a plan that allows you to access up to 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year, plus up to 10 group therapy sessions.
Private Health Insurance:
Many private health insurance plans offer rebates for psychology sessions under allied health benefits. Rebates vary depending on your policy, so it's advisable to check with your provider directly.
NDIS Funding:
I provide therapy and psychological services to NDIS participants with self-managed or plan-managed funding only. Unfortunately, I cannot accept participants whose plans are managed by the NDIA directly. Fees are charged according to NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.
Assessments
-
The Comprehensive Diagnostic Report is an in-depth document that offers a detailed analysis of your assessment, including diagnostic conclusions, strengths, challenges, and tailored recommendations. This report is often used for accessing support services, educational accommodations, or specialist referrals.
The Results Letter is a shorter summary highlighting the main outcomes of the assessment. It provides clear information about your diagnosis and recommendations but with less detail than the full report. This option is suitable if you prefer a straightforward overview or if a full report is not required for your purposes.
Both options include a 50-minute feedback session where we discuss your results and next steps.
-
A psychologist provides a comprehensive, neurodiversity-affirming assessment focused on understanding your unique strengths and challenges, not just diagnosing. We use evidence-based tools and clinical interviews to explore how ADHD affects your life and help develop practical, therapeutic strategies.
Psychologists do not prescribe medication; if medication is needed, we recommend working alongside a psychiatrist or paediatrician who can provide medical evaluations and prescriptions.
-
At Flourish Within, we don’t currently provide Autism Assessments as a standalone service. However, we collaborate closely with Nurture Allied Health to offer dual Autism Assessments for children and adolescents.
If you’re interested in this service, please reach out directly to Nurture Allied Health for more information or to make an enquiry.
